Maybe Tomorrow

Tonight is my Mommy's Night Out.  I try, every couple of weeks, to take a night to go to Starbucks, drink a little coffee, eat a low fat coffeecake and destress a bit.  In the past, I've written things out in notebooks for swaps, read, done a little organizing and planning.  Tonight, I was able to bring the new netbook and do some of the online things that I need to do.  One of the things I was planning on doing was writing my book reviews.  But between the e-mail that I needed to clear out (it's STILL not all done) and the couple of swaps that were due either today or tomorrow, I knew I needed to focus on that first.  I'm going to try to do two book updates a day (at least) until I get caught up.  It's been almost a full month since my last book review and I'm just getting further and further behind. I know that part of the problem has been trying to do too many things at once.  I'm sure you've noticed that I put a picture of the book cover and a link to it's Amazon page (or elsewhere if I can't find it on Amazon) with each review that I write.  And sometimes it feels like more work than I can face at the moment.  Especially with all the reviews I need to do.

So tomorrow (I know, that's the procrastinator's rallying cry) I'm going to work on the first two books I need to review.  For my own edification (and for anyone curious about what's coming up), these are the books that I need to review, along with what their review number will be.  (This way, I can come back to one post and figure out where I'm at rather than looking all through my blog!)

44. Countdown to Final Crisis, Vol 4
45. Teen Titans, Vol 4: The Future is Now
46. Teen Titans, Vol 5: Life and Death
47. Teen Titans Spotlight: Raven
48. Justice League Unlimited, Vol 5: Heroes
49. Trinity, Vol 2
50. Batgirl, Vol 1: Batgirl Rising
51. Many Bloody Returns, ed. by Charlene Harris, Toni L.P. Kelner
52. Teen Titans, Vol 6: Titans Around the World
53. Green Lantern: Tales of the Sinestro Corp
54. Broken by Karin Slaughter

Sadly, I haven't been getting that much reading done lately.  I'm hoping to change that soon too.  I've been taking the boys out to the park when the weather's nice and I'm bringing my books with me while I'm doing it.  Gives me something to do while they enjoy themselves.  Plus, I have several doctors appointments coming up, and that's something I can do while I wait as well.  It's part of the reason that I have so many graphic novels on my list - they're relatively quick reads.

So here's hoping that tomorrow will be a bit more productive.
