First Rock Island County Couple Applies for Civil Union License
I met John and Larry in 2001, not long after I moved to NYC. They were part of a community that I was very active in at the time - the Straight Dope Message Board and I got to know them pretty well. Their relationship was one that I'd always looked up to for making a relationship work - after all, you aren't together for 25 years (at the time) without knowing a thing or two.
So congratulations, John and Larry. It's about time that the state has let your recognize what the rest of us have known for a long, long time - that you were meant to be together!
And a lot less fun than the other options.
