Sundays in My City

Yesterday was a day to be out and about for our family.  Lots and lots of errands to run, and a little time to play in the snow that was quickly melting from the night before.  I made sure to take lots of pics while we were out so I could share them today on Sundays in my City with Unknown Mami.

Sundays in My City

For the first time in many months, Rich and the boys have gone back to church.  Teddy's Religious Education Class is from 9:05 until 10:30 (when Mass starts) and Pete's is during Mass.  Rather than heading back home today while Teddy was in class, we let Pete play on the playground at the church.  He and Daddy had a great time, while I got a chance to take pictures.

I had so many grand plans of taking my camera when I went places this week, getting pics of things in Nashville to share for this week's Sundays in My City.  Unfortunately, I either forgot my camera or ended up forgetting to take it out of my pocket.  Yup.  One of those days. So this morning, I decided I'd go out and take a few pics around my apartment.  I couldn't go far because I the kids were inside, but I did manage to get a few pictures so you can see what my little corner of the world

Sundays in My City

Yesterday was Nashville's annual Celebration of Cultures.  It's a festival that I love going to and is a great way for Nashville to show off the wonderful diversity of cultures that make up our wonderful city.  Held every year at Centennial Park (the home of Nashville's famous version of the Parthenon), festival goers have a chance to shop from a wide variety of vendors, try a stunning amount of ethnic cuisine and be introduced to a many of the different groups that will teach you about their home countries.  This is the first year we've spent any real time in the Children's area and that, in my opinion, was the best part of the whole festival for us.  Our kids got a chance to try different instruments at the musical petting zoo, made a toolbox with Home Depot, did yoga with a woman who specializes in children's yoga, learned science with Mr. Bond, the Science Guy and listened to stories in a gypsy wagon.  So they weren't all ethnic, but they had fun.
